August favourites 2015!

Hey guys~! Long time no see! Sorry I haven't been blogging much. I have been updating my YouTube channel a lot recently so you can check that out here https://www.youtube.com/c/AlexSaide but in this blog I will be telling you about my favourite products this month! August isn't over yet but I just couldn't wait to share these products with you so here we go!

RMK UV Face Protector

I have done a review previously on the RMK UV Face Protector but it really is something I use everyday. It's very important to protect your skin from sun rays and this does just that, I have definitely noticed a difference in my skin after using this and my overall skin tone has gotten better. It's currently sold out but I will update this with a link when its back in stock.

Pros: Long lasting, light, dewy, creamy

RMK Cleansing Oil

Now this is my new holy grail. I have been using this for the past month before I wash my face just to thoroughly cleanse my face of all the daily grime that gets on your face throughout the day and it completely removes all your make up in one go. If you haven't tried this before pop into the Selfridges Manchester Exchange store over to the RMK counter and they will show you how to use it. I definitely recommend this! You can also view it on the Selfridges website HERE.

Pros: A little bit goes a long way

RMK Skin Tuner Smooth

I use this after I've finished cleansing my face with the cleansing oil (listed above). It's really good for exfoliating and evening your skin tone and also leaving your skin smooth and glowing. You can view it HERE.

Pros: Balancing, leaves the skin glowing

Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum

Now onto a Korean product which I absolutely love and have been using everyday since April. The brand is called Innisfree. I bought it in Korea and it is highly moisturising and nourishing for the skin and its all natural products. It's made with organic Jeju green tea water and green tea seeds to hydrate your skin from within. I use it as my first step of skin care and it makes a huge difference. It is the perfect primer. You can view the product HERE.

Pros: Smoothing, refreshing, absorbs quickly

Innisfree Green Tea Moisture Cream

From the same brand I listed above but this time its the moisturiser from the same Green Tea line. It smells incredible and its incredibly soft and feels so light on your skin but its so moisturising at the same time. Its retail priced online for £11.68 and that's incredible for what it does. I honestly can't live without this. You can purchase it HERE

Pros: Moisturising, Amazing-smelling, creamy, softening.

The Saem Harakeke Firming Seed Cream

Now onto a different Korean brand which is called The Saem. I tried their products for the first time when I went to Korea and was impressed by how good it was. This product contains harakeke oil which is rich in omega 3 and 9. It uses 100% harakeke extract instead of water which is amazing for those with sensitive skin like myself. You can check it out HERE.

Pros: Soothing, hydrating

The Saem Urban ECO Harakeke Cream

From the same brand listed above which goes by the name The Saem. This is my daily moisturiser at the moment. It only requires you to use a little amount of the product and apply it to your face and neck. Its highly moisturising and helps your make up stay on longer. A great primer.

Pros: Moisturising, refreshing, soothing, absorbs quickly

Etude House Precious Mineral Any Cushion

This is the last and overall product on my list. Its another Korean brand called Etude House. It's a cushion foundation in a compact and its suppose to create beautiful pearly bright skin with great coverage and smoothing effects. I can definitely tell you it does that and a lot more. First of all I use the shade W24 which is Honey Beige. Cushions aren't very popular in the world apart from Korea but recently Lancome has released their own miracle cushion which opened to rave reviews. It comes in a compact with a mirror, the foundation in a cushion form and a air puff for you to apply the foundation. You are suppose to tap it all over the face until its evenly applied. For a tutorial on how to use it watch THIS. The coverage is incredible and makes my skin look great and covers the acne scaring I have.

Here's an example of me wearing the cushion.

As you can see it leaves my skin looking bright, moisturised and smooth. It's retail priced on Etude House's international website at £13.76 which is an absolute bargain! You can view it HERE.

Pros: long lasting, brightening, smoothing, full coverage.

All of the products I mentioned here are definitely good products and recommended by me for you all. If you have any questions or further inquires about these products you can comment below or find me on my Facebook page and don't forget to view my YouTube channel which includes my vlogs in Korea! See you guys next time!

Happy shopping!

Alex :-)

The best drink this summer Bubble Tea! / Chatime in Manchester review!

With the weather being so nice and humid in England these days and I bet you're thinking to yourself 'what can I do to cool myself down?' When Starbucks and Costa coffee's ice drinks just isn't doing it for you anymore, I've found the perfect place to cool yourself down in the Manchester City centre and its bubble tea! The restaurant is called 'Chatime' and is in China town!

Bubble tea comes from Taiwan and has been very popular all over Asia for many years and has been in England too but not many English people have probably had the chance to try it. Here's your chance guys! Bubble Tea is a Taiwanese tea-based drink invented in Taichung, Taiwan in the 1980s. Most bubble tea recipes contain a tea base mixed/shaken with fruit or milk, to which chewy tapioca balls and/or fruit jellies are often added. The first time I tried bubble tea was a couple of years ago but I didn't really like it then recently a friend of mine brought me bubble tea from this place Chatime and it was really delicious and I've being having it all the time since then. Obsessed!

You get so much for your money!
Matthew with all our bubble teas~ clearly loving life.

My own drink with my name on it! Adds a nice little touch~

They sell a variety of drinks such as milk teas, fresh tea, fruit tea, latte's, smoothies and coffee! In the past 2 weeks I've been around 4 times. It's so incredibly addictive and makes you want to keep going back for more and trying all different kinds of flavours the shop has to offer. With very friendly and welcoming staff making your time at Chatime lovely and cozy. Their knowledge about bubble tea and the drinks they sell is top notch to help you find the best drink suited to your taste buds. It isn't that expensive either for a regular it is £2.95 and £3.45 for a large and you get a lot for your money.

You can also customise your drink to how you want it such as lowering or highering the sugar level for you weight watchers like me~! More or less ice, pearls or jelly? It's up to you! There really is something for everyone at Chatime. It's really easy to get to as-well as its near the very popular Wasabi in China Town! So what are you waiting for? Pop in, say hi and try some delicious bubble tea!

Here's a few more pictures of Chatime:

Third day in Korea + my 21st birthday! / 한국에 세번째 날 + 21번째 생일~!

Welcome to day 3 of my trip to Korea which was my 21st birthday! In this vlog you will see what I got up to on my 21st!! It was an amazing day and I'm glad to spend it with you all~!!

When I booked my trip to Korea back in February I decided to visit the SMTown Coex centre on my 21st birthday which is pretty much a museum of my favourite singers in Korea who are all signed to SMTown. My favourite obviously being Girls' Generation who are Korea's biggest girl group! It was every SMTown's fan dream! Everywhere you looked was pictures and merchandise full of Korea's most popular singers as you can see in the video above. It was the best way to the spend the afternoon of my 21st birthday. Something I will never forget :) I didn't take as my many photos because I captured a lot on video but here are some photos of the day.

Birthday outfit!

Obvs a 21st birthday selfie.

One of my favourite drinks in Korea! Its suppose to give energy to the people of Korea :-) Every bottle has a different message this one says 'Thank you'

Myeongdong! This was the view from the restaurant!

Patbingsu and honey bread with ice cream! Patbingsu is a very popular Korean dessert ate during summer!

Patbingsu! It has shaved ice, red beans and Korean rice cakes! There's many different kinds of Patbingsu you can get loads of different flavours! This was delicious and refreshing! It was 28 degrees that day!

My beloved honey bread~~~!! I would eat this everyday if I could. The presentation of the food isn't great because we were sat near a window and it was a little windy!

The interior of the cafe~

Me and Gyumin!

Gyumin loving life obvs!

He's not swearing at you guys~~~

In Gangnam finally~!

잘 찍었다 규민아!

He took lots of photos! I like this one though :-)

Girls' Generation ice cream~~~!!

Ice cream~~~!!

Loving life ha!

Not gonna lie.. The ice cream wasn't great it was white chocolate and passion fruit flavoured which are great on their own but together.. Lets just say I finished the ice cream because of Girls' Generation.

Me and 2 members of Girls' Generation Sooyoung and Taeyeon!

This has to be done.

I'm not too sure where this is to be honest haha! But this is the streets of Seoul at night!

Loved this place!

There's still more to come of my birthday in the next vlog and day 4 in Korea! Hope you enjoyed watching and looking at my photos of the day. It really was a special day and something I'll never forget! See you guys next time~!

Second day in Korea / 한국에 두번째 날~!

Welcome to day 2 of my trip to Korea! In this vlog you will see what I got up to on my first full day in Seoul and 2nd day of my trip overall.

First morning in Seoul! View from my hotel room~!

Breakfast! Clearly I wasn't on my diet..

This was in Myeongdong near my hotel. Lovely spot to sit, chill and enjoy the weather. There's also street food and restaurants near here!

Oh how I wish to be back in Seoul~~~~!!

A main road in Seoul.

Love a selfie in my hotel room obvs.

Another selfie never hurt no one. Apart from the camera. #awks

OUTFIT OF THE DAY!

OUTFIT OF THE DAY #2.

Korean street food! My favourite Ddukbokki! I went to the same woman everyday to get my Ddukbokki fix! The more I went the bigger the portions got! This was the first time I went :-) I hope to see her in October! 10월에서 봅시다 아줌마!

Korean fried bread with red beans inside! Delicious~!

Clearly ATM's in Korea beat England's. Just saying.

All the products I bought on my first day! BB creams, CC creams, moisturisers, skin care the lot! Most of it is samples. In Korea when you enter the store they give you samples and give you more samples once you purchase something!

Dinner! It was soooo good. It had chicken, vegetables, noodles in a lovely black bean sauce.

Dessert! Fruit in a bowl with flavoured milk and lots of fruit~!

Shy~~~~ 보지마ㅠㅠㅠㅠ

Present from my friends! Thanks guys! 선물 너무 고마워 애들아!

Night view from my hotel! Goodnight Seoul~~!! 내일 봐~

My second day in Seoul was amazing. I was able to have a great nights sleep and wake up jet lag free. I woke up around 10am in the morning because I wanted to utilize my days in Seoul to the fullest so I made sure I woke up early everyday and spent the whole day exploring. On my first day in Seoul I was with my friends and they were showing me around but I wanted to do some exploring by myself today.

So I went around Myeongdong where my hotel is and like I explained in the vlog above its famous for its shopping and street food! I bought lots of cosmetics and experienced Korea's street food for the very first time! So cheap but so good! I had the feeling of having to keep pinching myself because I was actually in Seoul! I came across lots of nice people in the shops and streets as they were curious about how I speak Korean or how I learned Korean as they all automatically assumed I was a student in Korea. They were even more surprised at the fact that I am self-taught.

Later on in the day I met up with my friends for dinner which was lovely! The food and atmosphere was great and afterwards we went to Insadong and ended up in a lovely bar which was very unique as everyone had their own booths so you had your own little room with a TV, music playing throughout and a buzzer to press when you wanted to order more drinks and food! The bartender took a liking to me as he loves England apparently! Was a great night overall and I even received a present from my friends which is from a very popular brand in Korea called 'The Saem' Definitely recommend everyone to check it out! Can't wait to start using it.

That was my second day in Seoul! I arrived back in my hotel room around 3am in the morning and it was already my 21st birthday! Tune in for the next vlog where you will see how I spent my 21st and all the pictures from the day.

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed!
Love from Alex :-)
